Our library (CLAIR – Center for Library And Information Resources)) has a separate building of area 540 Sq.m. dedicated to the memory of our Founder Correspondent Arasan A.M.S.G.Vijayakumar. The building is surrounded by evergreen grass, herbs and trees and has spaces for a Stack hall, a Reading hall, a Periodicals hall and an Air-conditioned Seminar Hall. Each hall is well furnished with modern equipments.

Our library plays a vital role in the curricular development of students by providing facilities such as
    • Exclusive Library block with conducive reading atmosphere.
    • Valuable collection of books numbering 23,000 with
      • Book Bank - 1453 Nos.
      • Video & Audio Cassettes - 260 Nos.
      • Compact Disks (Computer software) - 2000 Nos.
      • Subscription to 90 Nos. of periodicals including 2 foreign journals (along with bound volumes of back issues) and
      • Daily Newspapers - 6 Nos.
    • National Geographic Magazine for 100 yeass CD form100 years
    • Catalogue & Kardex System for books and periodicals respectively.
    • Computerised Information System, with OPAC facility.
    • Open access system.
    • Well equipped Air-conditioned Video theatre-cum-seminar hall, and
    • Internet facility.
    • Barcode facility for easy access of books
    • Gate register maintenance using barcode for staff and students
Library Committee :
A Library committee is formed to monitor the activities of CLAIR with three student members.

Book  Borrowal  Procedure :
  • Students can borrow books (except reference books) from the library using the borrower's card(s) issued to them.
    • Timings :
      Lunch interval 12.55 p.m. to 1.35 p.m.
      Evening 4.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m.
  • The borrower's card is not transferable.
  • The borrowed book should be returned in good condition within two weeks.
  • The card is liable to be cancelled, if the book is not returned in time.
  • Students can make an indent for a book in advance, if the book is not available by that time.
  • Sub lending of books is not permitted
  • An overdue amount of one rupee per day will be collected for not returning the book on the due date.
  • If the book is lost or damaged, the student should replace the book or pay the cost with fine.
  • Journals cannot be borrowed from the library.
  • Perfect silence should be maintained inside the library premises.

Alumni contributions

Mr. S.Kalirajan, Bangalore (1990 Computer) is donating Rs. 10,000/- for the development of library since the year 2001.
S. Kalidasan, Bangalore (1995 ECE) donated Electronics and Computer related 140 books worth of Rs. 27,000/- last year (2012).
