Note worthy achievements by students:
Our department students are often sent to other colleges to participate in various Technical competitions and won many prizes. Some of the laurels we received are:
  1. Our dept. students donated blood in the blood donation camp organized by YRC in our college.
  2. Our students A.Rajavadivel & M.Premkumar (III Year EEE) were participated in the Essay writing contest held at V.S.V.N Polytechnic College, Virudhunagar.
  3. Our third year students attended career guidance program on “Govt.Job Opportunities” by Deputy Commandant Mr.J.D. Dhayalan, Group “A” Gazetted Officer, Indian Coast Guard, Fort, Kochi.
  4. Our 3rd year students went to Industrial visit to ISRO, Mahendiragiri with 2 staff members.
  5. Our third students attended a guest lecture program on “Embedded System” by Mr.G.Sadaiyandi, L&T Pvt Ltd, Bangalore.
  6. Our second year students attended a career guidance program on “Leadership in You” by Mr.Sargurunathan and Mrs. Amutha sargurunathan, JCI sivakasi.
  7. Our students attended career guidance program on “Job opportunities in Govt Sector” by K.Marimuthu (Tahsildar).
  8. Our second & third students attended a guest lecture program on “Innovative Project” by Mr.Senthil Anantha Prakasam, JCI Sivakasi.
  9. Selvan A.RAJAVADIVEL & M.PREMKUMAR of our third year students won the third prize with cash award of Rs-1000/- and Selvan U.AAKARSH & S.KAMESHVAR of our second year students attended a paper presentation competition held at SCAD Polytechnic College, Tirunelvelli
  10. Selvan U.AAKARSH & S.KAMESHVAR of our second year students won the third prize with cash award of Rs-1500/- in a paper presentation competition held at RECT Polytechnic College, Tirunelvelli.

  14. Our third year student T.Sukumar & S.Sanjai won I prize in the event of “Project Expo” and also A.Mohamed Riyaz & Rajavadivel won III prize in the event of “Circuit Rix” held at Kamaraj College of Engineering & Technology, Virudhunagar.
Note worthy achievements by Faculty:
  1. Our staff member Mr.P.Muthuganesan, Lecturer/EEE acted as an external examiner for “Helper Electrician course” under skill training for unemployed youths on Mother Teresa Polytechnic College, Pudukkottai.
  2. Our staff member Mr.P.Mahendran, Lecturer/EEE acted as an external examiner for “Helper Electrician course” under skill training for unemployed youths on Arulmugu Senthil Andavar Polytechnic College, Tenkasi.
  3. A free servicing camp was organized by CDTP scheme of our college at Kattanarpatti Sivakasi.Our Staff members Mr.A.Sankaramoorthy, D.Karthigaiselvam & T.Gurunathan have acted as the service technicians/resource persons and repaired 106 Nos of appliances (table fans, ceiling fans, mixie & grinders) approximately.
  4. A free servicing camp was organized by CDTP scheme of our college at Boss colony Sivakasi. Our Staff members Mr.S.Arulmozhivarman, D.Karthigaiselvam & J.Dinakaran have acted as the service technicians/resource persons and repaired 100 Nos of appliances (table fans, ceiling fans, mixie & grinders) approximately.
  5. Our staff members Mr.A.Sankaramoorthy, Mr.T.Gurunathan with one student A.Rajavadivel won the second prize with cash award of Rs-20,000/- in the National Innovation Talent contest for polytechnics organized by NITTTR,Kolkatta.

ARASAN DHARBAR (POWER 2017)
A State Level Inter Polytechnic Technical Symposium was conducted by Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department on 10th February, 2017. 85 Students from 35 institutions all over Tamilnadu participated in the paper presentation and Technical Quiz competition. Papers on the topics such as Modern Speed Control Technologies, Energy Efficient Motors, Electric Traction Systems, Robotics and its Industrial applications and Recent Trends in Renewable Energy Resources were presented by the students. We allotted four cash prizes for the Paper Presentation (I & II) & Technical Quiz (I & II). First Prize cash amount is Rs.1,500 and Second Prize cash amount is Rs.1,000. Dr.K.Karunanithi/Associate Professor, Kalasalingam University, Krishnankovil, was the chief guest and Mr.V.Jayakumar, Asst.Professor, M.Kumarasamy College of Engg, Karur, Mr.A.Sivasankar,M.E, Ph.D Asst.Professor/ECE, Anna University, (Regional Office),Madurai were acted as judges for the paper presentation.
ARASAN DHARBAR (E3-TRENDZ 2012)
We have organized a Technical Symposium – Arasan Dharbar – 2012, E3 – TRENDZ on 24th February, 2012. The main objective of this symposium is to explore the latent technical knowledge built in the young minds of Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering students in Polytechnic Colleges. Competitions like Paper Presentation Contest and Technical Quiz contest were organized. Totally 40 students from seven Polytechnic colleges participated in these contests.
The symposium began with registration followed by Inauguration. In this session, Mr.S.Balakrishnan, HOD/EEE, welcomed the gathering and introduced the judges. Mr.J.Francis Xavier Thenraj gave introduction about the theme of Arasan Dharbar – 2012,    E3 – TRENDZ. Mrs.S.Shanthi, Dept. Coordinator, briefed about the conduct of the program.
In the Paper Presentation Contest, eleven papers were presented by twenty-two students. Selvan.K.Arulkumar and Selvan.T.Gopinathan of SIPT College, Sivakasi presented a paper on the topic “Advanced Technologies in Electric Drives” and won the First Place with a Cash award of Rs.2500/-. Selvan.S.Hari Chidambaram and Selvan.B.Ram Kumar of MSPVL Polytechnic College, Pavoorchatram presented a paper on the topic “Advanced Technologies in Electric Drives” and won the Second Place with a Cash award of Rs.1500/-.
In the Technical Quiz contest, eighteen students were participated. Selvan S.Vignesh of SIPT College won the First Place with a cash award of Rs.600/- and Selvi.S.Sofia Praveen of Arulmigu Palaniandavar Polytechnic College, Palani won the Second Place with a cash award of R.400/-.
Our Principal Dr.D.Balasubramanian, presided over the function and distributed the prizes for the winners. In his presidential address he stressed that the students should be thorough in basics of engineering and it leads to great achievements.
