Named after our Lady Founder Chairman, Saraswathi Ganesan Students' Hostel was started in the year 1984 with 85 inmates.
Now there are sixty-two rooms in the two storeyed hostel building. With all the basic facilities, the hostel can accommodate around 300 students. Also there is a separate hall for recreation with latest AV facilities (color TV, DVD Player etc.).
A residential tutor helps the inmates during their stay in the hostel. Two hours are allotted for compulsory study (except Saturday).
Teaching staff members provide adequate additional guidance during examinations to the inmates of the hostel.
The kitchen is provided with steam cooking equipment for hygienic food preparation. Bacteria-free water is available to the students for drinking purpose. The mess bill is based on dividing system.
A.M.S.G. Jeyagraham Students’ Hostel:
A new additional hostel building constructed at a cost of Rs.50 lakhs was opened in the year 1999. It offers single room facility and a spacious dining hall accommodating 200 students to dine at a time.
The first floor has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 30 lakhs to accommodate 75 inmates. It offers Deluxe Triple Bed Room A/c and non A/c. Triple Bed Room and Dormitory room facilities.
Uninterrupted power supply is provided in the hostel with the help of a new 20 KVA electrical generator. There are facilities for the inmates to do exercises in the morning daily. Newspapers and weekly magazines are also provided to the students.
Girls’ Hostel
A new Girls’ hostel has been constructed to accommodate 25 inmates. Now the building is located opposite to the Information Technology block. The plinth area of the building is 176 m2. The estimated cost of construction is 11 Lakhs. This building has a provision for separate warden's chamber and provided with ramp facility to facilitate students with disability.
