Regional Level NSS Programme Officers’ Review Meeting

Venue: Arasan Ganesan Polytechnic College, Sivakasi

The National Service Scheme’s Regional level NSS Programme officers’ review meeting was organized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) at Arasan Ganesan Polytechnic College, Sivakasi, on 21-07-2017. 93 NSS Programme officers from 77 Polytechnic Colleges of southern districts participated. Tmt. S.Palaniselvi, PO-III look after the Reception and Registration work.

The National Service Scheme’s Regional level NSS Programme officers’ review meeting was organized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) at Arasan Ganesan Polytechnic College, Sivakasi, on 21-07-2017. 93 NSS Programme officers from 77 Polytechnic Colleges of southern districts participated. Tmt. S.Palaniselvi, PO-III look after the Reception and Registration work. Our Correspondent Mr.A.M.S.G. Ashokan presided over the function. He insisted the programme officers to develop student’s skill. Dr.S.Rajasekaran, and Mr.C.Samuel Chelliah, were the chief guest of this function. Dr.S.Rajasekaran, State NSS officer, TamilNadu State NSS cell, motivated the programme officers. He explained that, studies improve the knowledge only but NSS gives team work knowledge, self-confidence, leadership quality etc, Mr.C.Samuel Chelliah Regional Director, Regional Directorate of NSS Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GOI, encouraged the programme officers. He informed that, the current first year students in all over India will get volunteer certificate with Government seal. This certificate is very useful to the NSS students for higher education, job opportunity etc.,  Dr.V.Seetharaman, the NSS Programme Coordinator, DOTE, reviewed the programme activities. He insisted on the importance of NSS regular and special camp activities of the NSS. He asked the programme officers to organize more programmes on moral values, leadership, tree plantation and technical training to rural youth and women. 

  Inter Polytechnic College NSS photo exhibition was organized by Mr. S.Rajkumar, PO-II. Cash book, Ledger, Corpus fund register and Bank pass books of 77 Polytechnic Colleges were verified and discrepancies explained. The meeting was concluded with National Anthem.

NSS Programme Officer
