Thiru.B.Chandra Mohan, Director, Sun Focus (P) Ltd., Singapore explained the “Job opportunites”

Under Staff development cell a one day program on “Awareness on Abroad job opportunities” was conducted on 11.03.2016.Tmt.S.Palaniselvi,Lecturer/ ECE welcomed the gathering. Thiru.M.Nandakumar, Principal, inaugurated and presided over the function. The guest speaker Thiru.B.Chandra Mohan, Director, Sun Focus (P) Ltd., Singapore stated about the importance of Non- Destructive Testing (NDT) certificate course. He explained about the scope and job opportunities in NDT. He stated that the purpose of NDT are to ensure product integrity, reliability, to avoid failures ,prevent accidents, save human lives, save environment, to ensure customer satisfaction, to aid better product design, to control manufacturing processes , to lower manufacturing cost and to maintain uniform quality level. He explained about the various methods of testing in NDT are Visual Testing(VT),Liquid Penetrant Testing(PT), Magnetic Particle Testing(MT), Radiographic Testing(RT), Ultrasonic Testing(UT), Electromagnetic Testing(ET), Acoustic Emission Testing(AE), Leak Testing (LT), Thermal / Infrared Testing (IR), Neutron Radiographic Testing (NRT), Vibration Analysis(VA), and Magnetic Flux Leakage Testing(MFL). He stated about the uses and general applications of NDT methods. He stated that this course will enable the students to place in abroad job opportunities as NDT Engineer in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Oman, Qatar/Dubai, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Angola.
