Non-formal Courses Inauguration, Certificate Distribution Function and
Interaction with the Formal students by Director, NITTTR, Chennai

Under the persons with Disabilities Project, we have organized an event of inauguration and certificate distribution function of Non-formal programmes for the differently abled on 06.09.2016. The Director Prof. Dr. Sudhindra Nath Panda, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chennai has inaugurated the Electrical Home Appliances Course and Office Stationery Making course by lighting Kuthuvilaku and distributed certificates for the Cell phone and Laptop servicing courses. The Director in his chief Guest address motivated the differently abled to become entrepreneurs and asked them to utilize the expertise of trainers to hone the skills and lauded the infrastructure facilities provided at our college for the benefit of differently abled.

The Puthuvazhvu Thittam of Government of Tamilnadu is helping us in identifying the differently abled for the courses. Mr. Shanmugaraj, District Project Manager assured the beneficiaries that the Puthuvazhu Thittam will extend its support for getting loans to become entrepreneurs. Mr. M. Nandakumar in his presidential address said that our polytechnic college is offering Non-formal programmes for the last 17 years and through the pogrammes lot of differently abled had benefitted.
The course completion certificates along with Tool kits were issued to the 20 differently abled candidates in the programme. The beneficiaries spoke confidently and aspiring to become greater heights in their lives. Mr. M. Pugazh, Project Champion of the Project welcomed all, and the arrangements were made in a good manner by Mr. K. Radhakrishnan and Mr. C. Manivannan. |
